Bantu face stiff punishment for the actions of their fans
Vodacom Premier League outfit Bantu have condemned the behaviour of their supporters after violence aimed at referee Osias Koto after the side’s 1-0 league defeat to Kick4Life last Saturday.

The match was played at the LCS Stadium.

Bantu fans also attacked match assessor Moeketsi Moholobela after he tried to protect Koto.
Bantu communications and marketing manager Motlatsi Mofokeng called the actions of the club’s fans deplorable and vowed the team would take action.

“We are going to take all the necessary steps against anyone involved in that incident,” Mofokeng said.

He also added: “We strongly condemn such acts and we would like to apologise to the sponsors and the nation.”

A Matšo Matebele possibly face a heavy fine and a ban of the club’s fans. The Premier League Management Committee is set to convene on Tuesday to discuss Bantu’s case.

Staying the Vodacom Premier League, and Bantu, Saturday's highly anticipated clash between Matlama and Bantu that was set for the Setsoto Stadium has been postponed because of a church service that will be held at the stadium all weekend. The league has said it will announce a new date for the fixture at a later date.
