Mpharane Celtics will be looking to join Majantja on the highway to the Vodacom Premier League when they face Butha-Buthe Fast XI tomorrow. A point will be enough for the Leribe side to win the A-Division Northern Stream and secure promotion to the premiership with a game to spare.
Mpharane Celtics, with 38 points, have a three point lead over second-placed Sefothafotha. However Sefothafotha have played a game more and can only reach 38 points.
If Mpharane Celtics are successful in their mission they will join Majantja in Lesotho’s premiership next season. Majantja, national champions in 1995, won the first division’s southern stream two weeks ago after a draw with Rovers.
Majantja were relegated from the top flight last year but have run riot in the first division this season and only suffered their first loss of the campaign earlier this month, losing to 2-1 away to second-placed Qoaling Highlanders.
